Financial contracting (CFP/DFP)
I realise that this might not be the most appropriate subforum for this question, however I might as well ask here since this is targeted at freelancers:
Does anyone know what will be the upcoming banking focuses? PPI was and is a major banking focus. As I quite enjoy working in financial contracting I want to pick up the Certificate in Financial Planning. At higher levels this invites specialisation. According to recruitment consultants at my agency and elsewhere investment complaints are likely to be the next major headache for the banks (i.e. a good source of income for complaints handlers who possess the right credentials.)
Anyone got any feedback/comments on which areas of the CFP/DFP it'd be beneficial to focus in? I am deferring graduate accountancy roles/taking the ACCA (or CIMA) as at the moment contracting is a great source of revenue. Accountancy contracting is also very remunerative but the fact that you need experience for it means working directly for a firm at first, which I'd rather not atm. -
Re: Financial contracting (CFP/DFP)Oh, I'm not sure then. Sorry :/(Original post by TCA2b)
Not quite, no. I am simply curious which areas of banking are likely to undergo past business review, as with PPI. ATM it seems like mortgages are a strong contender (whether or not they were really missold, as PPI supposedly was, is another matter...)
