    7.5
    7.5
    7.7
    7.7
    5.9

I don't think there's a consumer CPU that can get 7.9 for processing available yet. So you're limited to 7.8 anyway.
Maybe not stock but I assume an overclocked sandy/ivy bridge i5 or i7 would do the trick?

    I think people with 3960Xs @ 5GHz are still getting 7.8...

EDIT: meh, some people seem to be able to get it at stock on a 3930K, others can't get it when OCed on 3960Xs. I don't know...

Yeah just been reading and it seems fairly random. Some people have said you need a hexacore @ 5.6GHz

A bit ridiculous as that will never affect the 'windows experience'

I've seen people who've got a lower score for CPU after overclocking, another show of just how good WEI is

    useless rating. BUT:
    7.7
    7.7
    7.6
    7.6
    7.9

    Doesn't mean anything

The fact that someone with a 560ti gets 7.9 and I get 7.6 with 2 6950s 2GB in crossfire means windows has its priorities waaaaay wrong. Also, i'm running a 2500k at 4.5GHz, more than enough for most things. I'm only running 4gb too but thats all I need.

Yeah I was quite surprised with the 7.9 for Graphics, just the way WEI really doesn't like 2 graphics cards I suppose, you'd probably get higher if you tried it with just 1...

It says: "The gaming graphics score is based on the primary graphics adapter. If this system has linked or multiple graphics adapters, some software applications may see additional performance benefits" so it is a case of 6950 vs 560Ti.

Even though I'm pretty sure the 6950 is meant to be better than the 560Ti so it's just not a very good rating of a computer.

What are people's benchmarks of choice? I wonder how many people would take part if we made a 'Post your PC Mark 7 Score'.

I used to get 7.9 when I had a single 6950 1gb so its weird that you're getting 7.6, but then again WEI is a windows thing which says a lot...

7.5 for Processor and Hard Disk, 7.9 for others.

    (Original post by hassi94)
Mine is 5.9 (HDD). Everything else is 7.2.

Hopefully on my new PC everything should be a solid 7.9 - probably won't though due to RAM (will have 8GB).

It's not very accurate anyway. Basically any HDD it gives 5.9 regardless of performance. Also I don't think it judges speed of RAM, just amount (when speed is in fact very important).
I've got 7.9 for my RAM and only have 6 GB.

Hmm maybe it does score speed. If so then it's being a bit generous giving me 7.2 for my 4GB 400MHz DDR2

Not possible really sorry. And what speed is your ram? You'll need to download something like CPU Z and tell me what it says your RAM frequency is.

To be honest though if you're running a laptop that uses DDR 2 then something else will be slowing your computer down before the 2gb ram, probably.

I was thinking 3DMark but that probably won't be the most suitable for TSR users. We could use geek bench as it is a bit more basic but I guess having to download anything and run it might put people off. At least all you need to do to get a WEI score is press the windows key and pause buttons together then click on 2 things, totally fool proof.
