I think I might be a bit weird.
Hi guys, just wanted to ask, does anyone, in AS, feel that A levels are better, compared to gcses, like you enjoy it more and it just feels easier. I mean, I didn't do that badly at GCSEs, but I currently do Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and i feel that this year, I felt that education is easier than before. I hated GCSEs sooooooooooooo much. It was nothing but memorisation. But for A - Levels, it's so much more applying, and it just seems easier than memorisation, since you don't actually have to remember that much. Like for GCSEs, i can try to remember two pages of a CGP book in about 1 hour. But for A levels, the concepts i get within 10 to 20 minutes? So, my question is, does any year 12s feel that A levels, so far are better than GCSEs?

No of course not, don't be ashamed about your own personal preferences.

I did not find it easier, but I found it more enjoyable. I loved A level Maths and Physics.

What you are asking is; is learning about a few subjects you are interested in more interestering than memorising lots of facts about subjects that mostly don't suit you? (Assuming you picked a-levels that interest you, andI don't see why you wouldn't.) Of course, the answer is yes. You're not weird.

And A-Levels and degrees can be just as much about wrote learning as GCSEs, believe me.

I'm currently in A2 and I find A2 easier than GCSE which is weird LOL, was averaging B's from GCSE a lot while in A levels, I'm getting 90/80% with a bit of effort, maybe because I revise now.

    Rote learning.
Haha, a great example of why rote learning spelling is bad

It might be because you think you have more of a "knowledge bank" you can easily understand questions since you know the bigger picture. Most of GCSE was fed to you in fragmented pieces in my opinion and rote learning is horrible.

I don't find it easier, but I find it more relaxing because its only 4, soon to be 3, subjects. GCSE was crazy amounts and teachers pushed to make there best impact. But college is more relaxing because its down to you, I definately wouldn't say easier though

I was speaking to my friends the other day about this at lunch. They all stopped and just looked at me as if i was godzilla. Blank facial expressions, for about 20 seconds maybe?

Well, at least i'm not weird.
