    Quality>Quantity? GCSE grades
Say, for example, candidate A gets:
    AAAAAABBBBBBBB

    and candidate B gets:
    A*A*A*A*AAAA

which candidates grades will be more respected by universities.

    Even if candidate A achieved:

    AAAAAAAAABBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB .

I'd still opt for Candidate B.

Quantity and Quality > Quality > Quantity

The 8 GCSE grades need to be focused for the course applied for, which I have no doubt they will be, but thought it worth mentioning.

Think it depends on the exams, their difficulty and the success rate.

Obviously B. But the more quantity to compliment the quality, the better I guess.
