    Biochem vs. Medicinal Biochem
I'm looking at applying to Bristol University. I'm a little confused- whats the difference between regular biochemistry and biochemistry with medicinal biochemistry? In the course description the latter sounds like a cross between chemistry and cancer biology and immunology. If I'm interested in studying medicine in graduate school, but I won't be old enough (18 by oct 1st) to go straight to med school, which of the three should I take?

If you are looking to study medicine I would thoroughly recommend taking a gap year and re-applying as opposed to planning to take the grad route. Many med schools accept people under the age of 18 anyway so I don't see how that is relevant.

I'm afraid that they don't. Most say you have to be 18 by the first of october...
So you say that right after high school, I should take a gap year, then go straight to grad school? Isn't that a bit risky, as in how would I know I'd get accepted?
