Re: Breaking Bad Season 5
Everybody's lives have gotten worse, Jessie included. He's gone from a small time drug dealer to a murderer and one of the most wanted felons in the state. And think of the mental impact upon him of everything that's happened. He seems to be alright now, clean and in a relationship, but there can be no doubting that he is in a much worse position because of Walt. Just think about it.
It seems that even the Breaking Bad thread is not immune to trolls. Leave it yeah. -
Re: Breaking Bad Season 5
So just a few days to go until the next episode!
Let's begin the discussion about who Walt is going to kill this season and let's cut straight past peripheral figures. The context will almost certainly involve Skyler, Walt Jr and Hank. I suspect at some point that hank directly or via DEA will become responsible for (the remaining?) part of Walt's family. At the moment Skyler and Jessie are the only people that know Heisenberg's true identity. I think there are two main thing now that will determine what happens:
How scared does Skyler get
Does Walt Jr find out anything.
Skyler is in danger because she knows so much and if Walt suspects that he can no longer trust her to keep her nerve then he will kill her. Her brother in law is DEA and that's going to make the temptation to turn informer stronger, especially as hank begins to close in on the family.
Walt Jr I suspect will be a key character this season. We have played right into Gilligan's hands with this character. For all our mocking of Peter Peter Cereal eater, there has been development. Right from the get go Jr has been in awe of Hank and his job and that developed over the last few seasons until, last week, we heard Jr even discuss his being with Hank at Los Pollos Hermanos. There is an overlap and Jr is caught in the middle. Along with Walt killing his wife, I suspect the Walt Jr tug of war between Walt and Hank to intensify.
A lot depends on the possibility that breaking bad continues in some way beyond the 5 seasons.Last edited by Mister Dead; 19-07-2012 at 13:50. -

Re: Breaking Bad Season 5
Breaking Bad is nominated for the best drama Emmy. With Bryan Cranston and Anna Gunn nominated for best actor and supporting actress in a drama series.
I'm surprised Giancarlo Esposito if doesn't win best supporting actor.
Edit - Beaten to it, damn. Took too long trying to spell Giancarlo Esposito
Edit, again - Michael Slovis has to win best cinematographer

Re: Breaking Bad Season 5It would indeed. He deserves it for season four just for the hysterical laughter scene when he finds he has no money left. Simply a brilliant actor(Original post by Shippy)
Bryan Cranston just has to win the emmy, while season 4 may not be my favourite, his acting was just outstanding, I'd be very surprised if Cranston didn't get it. If he does will that mean he'll have won an emmy for each season?
Aaron Paul has won one too.
They gave other shows a chance at the Emmys last year by not releasing the season in time

Re: Breaking Bad Season 5I'm pretty certain he'll win it, it would be a massive achievement to win an emmy for every season! Well, if he wins for season 5(Original post by original_username)

Re: Breaking Bad Season 5I didn't know that. Thats a good way of doing it.(Original post by rainbow drops)
The actors all submit one episode for consideration and then the voters base their choice on those. If Bryan Cranston submits Crawl Space I really can't see anyone else with a chance.
I wonder what episode Aaron Paul and the actor that plays Gus will submit. -
Re: Breaking Bad Season 5The episode which ends with Jesse alone sitting in front of the loud speakers, I can't remember which one it is.(Original post by original_username)

Gus (Giancarlo) should submit either the 'You are done' episode or the episode Gus, Jesse and Mike kill the cartel. -

Cranston has the nomination in the bag. So glad Giancarlo is getting a nod but can't decide between him and Aaron
I'll be happy if either one wins tbh. And yay for Hector getting a nomination too!

including best drama series, acting noms for Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Giancarlo Esposito and Anna Gunn, and a best guest appearance nom for Mark Margolis as Hector, hahaha! Wasn't expecting that one.
