Walt is trying to be Gus but he is actually becoming like Tuco

    No, and yes. ;p

What makes you think he enjoys it? I don't get that feeling Sure, he probably thinks it's great that he can avoid detection from someone so close to him, but I don't think he's deliberately doing anything to increase his risk.

Perhaps Walt has sort of forgotten his cancer, but he did start out just wanting everything quick, and in voting to not kill Lydia he still has that plan, although possibly for different reasons now. However, I don't think he's thinking long term, maybe because he never has but also because he doesn't have to.
It sorta annoys me that he seems to have 'forgotten' the cancer, because that kinda hints that it's ultimately gonna be that which owns him. And... I think there are better ways for him to go.

The voting against killing Lydia just seemed to me like part of his winning over Jesse. He's smart enough to know that it's probably for the best that she goes away.

But yeah. Walt 'should' be rich as **** and lecturing in Harvard or some ****. But instead he's poor, and has a crippled kid. And lives in America. Where, you can totally make it, mayyyn. I'd probably feel like he seems to in his situation.

I don't think they'll kill him off with cancer, that would be a horrid way to end any TV series. His cancer's what's pushed him into feeling he has nothing to lose and everything to gain, and that he must gain it - if/when his cancer returns, I think that'll push him into super crazy mode since then there'll be nothing more that medicine can do to help him, and that's when he'll do something that gets himself killed.

The voting against killing Lydia just seemed to me like part of his winning over Jesse. He's smart enough to know that it's probably for the best that she goes away.
Possibly, though there is logic to not stopping production. Mike should be able to control Lydia, and Walt does want to re-accumulate the cash as quickly as possible. Plus, there's nothing to stop them from looking for a new supplier whilst continuing to get it off Lydia.

I wonder if we'll see any more of his old business/research partners. I'm not sure what part they could play though.

I'm a bit surprised that after the whole paying for treatment thing they just disappeared. It seems to me like that's such a big part of his character that it would probably have come up again. Maybe it will. No one really seems to talk about it, so maybe they're hoping to surprise everyone with it. Though something to do with Gus's extended German connections seems more likely.

What a twist that would be, if Grey Matter was a load of baloney and they'd made their money from drugs all along XD

there's no hate. he's a a violent maniac, albeit one that became that way by acting with fairly human intentions. but i don't know where you get this 'hate'.

although i'm pretty sure you would hate him if he'd used your child as a pawn in a drug business and almost lethally poisoned him
Mm, agreed. But I still feel for him; I'm sad for what he's become.

Apologies if this has already been posted, but it's easily the best BrBa/Arrested Development crossover I've seen, hahaha

Also, am I the only one hoping Lydia dies sometime soon? She really gets on my nerves

Just gonna type what I think as I go along for my two cents post this week.

Biggest wtf opener ever with that kid and the tarantula, gave me the creeps and I cannot fathom the relevance it might have. I hope Walt doesn't try and kill another kid
Walt is really playing up to Skyler's behaviour for Hank and Marie, Walt's fake crying, so devious!
Oh Lydia... OFF WITH HER HEAD! She's like Tweek from South Park. "Meryl Streep" hahahaha Mike's sense of humour. As much as Lydia annoys me, I'm interested to see what her role is in the plot development.
Hank and Marie should keep Holly forever, so cute
Why is Walt so obsessed with money?! It's all he seems to care about now...
Walt Jr's gone back to Flynn again... sigh...
This train heist is quite impressive work, except Walt being a greedy little **** as per now.
OH JEEEEEEEZ todd what have you done?! Booom what an ending.
A good episode again, I like how the episodes aren't really ending on cliffhangers but yet still leave you wanting to watch the next one straight away.

And about Lydia and the GPS tracker: do we even know it was her? She did seem genuinely surprised to find it, and knowing Mike as she does, surely she wouldn't really have thought that would fool him, would she? Perhaps the DEA really did put it there: they knew that as soon as Mike found out about it he'd go after Lydia, and once they had Mike the rest of Gus's guys would crumble. Lydia's in the wrong business, but is she really stupid enough to cross Mike again after he nearly murdered her while her little girl was in the house? I doubt it.
Looks like you were right after all Though I still say it doesn't make sense to put it on the outside, and Hank agrees

So, Hank wants a baby and Marie doesn't seem too keen. I suppose there's time for them to have a baby if Walt's still alive in a year's time. Skyler's got Walt pretty good, though he can still try and turn Jr against her via titbits he drops to Hank and Marie whilst she can't have any contact with them whilst she's still pretending to be suicidal (unless she comes out and blames Walt for everything).

The heist didn't seem quite right to me, they only started pumping water up after about 3k of methylamine had been drained, which put it 2k behind, then pumping up about 10 metres should take a lot longer than draining with a couple of metres pushing down and about 5 metres pulling. Unless that was some mega baby-sized pump they had. I suppose ideally they'd have had longer to fill with water (if the guy with the massive car didn't turn up) so could have finished draining first, but if they were counting on that then Madrigal are going to notice a lower weight which means someone else will come for them, if it goes on the news maybe Skyler's knowledge of Walt robbing a train will come into play?

It seemed kinda obvious the kid was gonna become a witness but I didn't expect MATT DAMON!11 to do that, I was leaning more towards him becoming an inconvenient accessory and getting killed himself. I guess MAT DAMON!!11 will be in the show for a while longer.

I think Walt will love him after that, shows he does what has to be done regardless. New right hand man?

I keep laughing to myself because of that that scene:

Oh man. This show is actually just really stressful to watch.

The kid getting shot was a huge gut-punch and I hate spiders (and anyone creepy enough to collect them, doubly so). Genius structure though. The intensity of the train robbery and the following relieved jumping and YEAH BITCH-ing from Jesse made me forget about spider-collecting dirtbike boy for the whole thing, and then...:indiff:

The writers of this show are just in complete control of their audience. It is not even funny how in complete control of their audience they are. An excellent and quite horrifying hour of television.

Also the Walt Jr. laughs keep coming. 'YOU CAN KEEP ON TALKING ABOUT ME'. :rofl2: They're just using him as a joke now, and it never stops being funny.
