Are my GCSE Grades good enough for Reading?
Hi I wish to study at the University of Reading and either do a Accountancy and Finance or an Accountancy and Management Degree. However, Im not sure whther my grades are good enough to be considered. Traditionally for any student to study at Reading they need to have atleast 4 GCSE passes at grade C, and the typical offer is AAB in A-Levels with GCSE Maths and English Language both at grade B (which I have). However, I have been told by some that my GCSE's are not good enough and my application may not even be considered.
At GCSE I achieved ABBBBBBBBBBCDD
I know this isnt great or anywhere near impressive, but I have turned things around since starting my A-Levels and have been performing well in my subjects, and my January exams produced the same results as the standard typical offer 'AAB'.
So, do you think I still have a chance, despite my GCSE's? Please be honest, and I appreciate all responses
Thank You!

Nah, that's fine! Universities tend to focus on A Levels rather than GCSEs. They only consider your GCSE grades when they're really struggling to choose between two applicants. -
Re: Are my GCSE Grades good enough for Reading?
Just to further put your mind at ease, I'm holding an unconditional offer, with BCCCCCC at GCSE, C's in English and maths. I'd reckon they make no difference.
It's all about the A levels, and such a turn around in grades might even help to secure your offer - Shows a change in attitude and genuine commitment, after all.
Good luck with your application, though!
Thank You!
