I'm at uni, and yes I would continue on. I've only got one more year to go - what would be the point in doing three years of it not to just do one more and graduate? Then I think I would use a bit of the money funding a PhD in something relatively useless at Sarah Lawrence or some other liberal arts college so I could keep puttering around in academia for a bit then move somewhere sunny and live by the beach and maybe open my own cafe/bar. And a cat sanctuary!

Yes I'd still take my a-levels and still go to university! I'd probably go travelling this summer and buy a small central apartment in second year, and build up my business! And buy homeless people sandwiches

Of course I'd still do them, no matter when I won the money. I still want to go to university and have a decent job. Instead of living off of the 100 million I'd use it to treat people eg. go on holiday, buy gifts. Not to live off of it though obviously I would save some of the money too. I can't retire THIS young.. and I'd still work just as hard for my exams and want to do well in them.

As I'm not going to University just to get money, I'd still do my A-Levels and apply to Uni. I'd get somewhat boring, having nothing to do but spend.

Though knowing me, I'd probably get too relaxed about exams, flop them then buy myself a University place!

I'd buy a huge Airplane carier, convert the inside to a massive luxury floating house and live my life out at sea!

Of course I'd continue. Money is an asset and nothing more whereas your personal skills and knowledge can be depended upon in many more situations.

I would complete my exams but I don't know it I would go to uni as I could then start my dream business more as life-long hobby as I wouldn't have to worry about the financial side of things.

I would carry on with th exams, and uni etc, probably rack up qualifications all my life, and invest.

Although, i cant imagine not partying so fricking hard if it was the night of an exam.

If you quit school etc, think of how bored you would be for your life, pretty bored.

I would yes, i would, unless i got an offer for imperial etc., go to an independent school and study for the SAT exams, physics and Further Maths(A2 only) and then go to MIT for four years. I'd probably then graduate and find a job i actually enjoy, may be start up a green technology company with some of the money or become a doctor or such.

Yes, absolutely. I've always wanted to be a medic regardless of how rich I am.

i sat my a-levels years ago but anyway im off to uni this year - if i one 100million i would carry on exactly the same unill it was in my bank, then I would get on a first class plane to somewhere like nice and spend atleast 2 months drinking wine in 5star bars and doing yoga on the beach (not drunk)

I'd carry on as normal, financially cruise through university, study abroad, then when I finish I'd travel all over the world before starting my career.

    I agree.
If ive already put effort into my A-levels, then i might as well finish them and try and do well. Then id carry on with whatever i wanted to do at uni etc, but id be able to cruise through uni finance wise, and travel round the world etc and do all the things like that that i wanted to do. Id probably give a bit of money to family too.

I've asked this question to a lot of people at school and most have said that they would not sit their A-level exams, even if they were the next day, if they'd won an x amount of money.

Would you still sit your exams? How about in these situations:

    - won the money a month before A2 exams
    - won the money the night before your last A2 exam
    - won the money in your AS year
    - would you go on to go to university?

Personally, if I've made all this effort up until now (end of A2s) I'd like to finish my exams and still try to do well in them. Maybe if I'd won it in my AS year though I'd have a think about whether I wanted to continue or not. And I'm not sure if I would still go to university or not.

    What about you?
I'd sit them if I won 5 years ago...

Yes, I would still sit them. It would just make my life easier. I wouldn't have to work so to be honest I would probably use the money to buy books, trips abroad during the half-term holidays and I'd probably take up an evening class in a language, using the money. I'd still go to University; I'd just use the money to have the best time possible at university.

Yes, I'd continue my education for knowledge and pleasure rather than anything else. The money would be useful for funding the education however, and there would be less worry in attempting to get a job after uni.

Re: If you won £100 million, would you still sit your A-levels?
To answer the question simply, yes.

First thing I'd do straight away once I have the money in my bank account is give £1,000,000 to my old football manager. I'd make sure that my family and my elite close friends are financially fine. Then I'd carry on with my final few A2 exams, go to uni as I want the student life and a degree ain't bad. After uni I'd start the student lets business I want to do when I'm older. I'd eventually get enough properties around the country, a management team and various nationwide offices then practically retire on the income.

Not much thought into that at all...

Re: If you won £100 million, would you still sit your A-levels?
I definately would, regardless of when I won the money. I've chosen to go to uni because I want to, not just as a way to get a career to earn big money. To me it would be akin to cancelling a holiday you've booked because you won £100 million.

I wouldn't start really spending the money until after uni though. I'd still want the experience of living off cheap food in halls and would want to fit in with my flatmates and not be 'the rich one' so I probably wouldn't even tell them, at least not at first.

Yes I would still do the exams and I would even still go to uni; money can't buy me a degree.
