    Why we must tackle the worrying rise in fat acceptance
    Recently a worrying trend has come up; acceptance of fats and fat sympathisers.

    Fats should not be accepted they abuse their bodies and force restaurant businesses to stock their fatty food in an attempt to increase their numbers to trick themselves and others in to thinking they aren't a disgusting sub-species.

    We must stop this trend of fat acceptance and before someone calls me anti-fat, I have fat and ex-fat friends.

    Exactly, how does it affect you? If someone wants to eat they are well within their rights to do so. If you were to say you're concerned about the strain on the NHS, that would be a valid point, but you only argue out of "your eyes, your precious eyes!" I'm sure you're not perfect either.

    Fat is comparable to alcohol and cigarettes, as the government is cracking down on alcohol and cigs, so it should on fatty foods.

    Then again, "fatty sympathisers" isn't, as a term, going to help your argument

    This is ignorant. I don't want to defend fat people, but they aren't a sub-species. They are just overweight.

    I stated plainly in the OP that they force fatty foods to be placed in restaurants to satisfy their sickness. Do 't worry I have a fee threads planned for the NHS strain and the lack of a fat tax

    If the "fats" weren't a significant proportion of custom then the restaurants would not "satisfy their sickness" or whatever.

    If you get rid of the "fats" you will damage the restaurants business, if you really care for them that much.

    I wish more people thought like this. Best thread I have seen in a while. People who accept fat people just make the fat people get even fatter the fat bastards

    Lol, that old chestnut, I'm not fatist I have a fat mum.

    There was an interesting prog on BBC 2 last night, blame the governments food departments for not regulating use of High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS). It started in America. Too much corn.

    Guy is trolling but still has a reasonably valid point: obesity is a detriment to society, especially economically.

    Our attitudes to food have changed. Instead of eating until we are full when we are hungry, we use food as a crutch to get through life and can't stop thinking about it which ironically hinders your life experience.

    Newsflash:
    Fat=/=unhealthy
    Skinny=/=healthy

    Shaming people with words like 'fatty' is not going to make them want to lose weight.

    Probably if people had more to aspire to and work towards they wouldn't just keep eating until they were the size of a house.

    Those with no goals or no chance of them have nothing much else to do... its either eat until you are a whale, or take drugs which have the completely opposite effect turning the person into a skeleton.

    Just look at the Jeremy Kyle show any day for an example of this.

    But not everyone who eats fatty foods and enjoys them is fat.
