x=(0.5 +(4t/3))exp(-3t) + (sin(3t))/18
On the graph of this particular solution the first turning point for T>30 is the point A. Find approximate values for the coordinates of A.

I have absolutely no idea how the markscheme does this - they dont really explain.
Any help would be really appreciated

Did that question 2 days ago. Got it after 5 minutes of thought. They should set questions like that more often imo, but 2 marks is a bit stingy.

Looking forward to both FP2 and FP3. 90+ in both if all goes well. I think edexcel f. maths is overrated - revising more for STEP III tbh. I know, it's crazy to do 3 when you can meet an offer by doing 1 but I like a challenge.

Its quite a challenging question, btw.

In FP3 i can go blank at a difficult locus question, that is the only hard thing in it.

It's Warwick uni so grade 1, but the exam is next Wednesday so I've got quite a bit of time yet.

Definitely agree with that. It won't lose you many marks though as ost of them are 2-3 marks.

I'm doing STEP II (had it today) and STEP III.

Both me and my f.maths teacher agreed that doing II and III would prepare me better for a tough uni course.

It's actually good that they are both in the afternoon. Don't know how I could walk into such a testing and long exam first thing.

Yes it was on the tough side. Pretty sure I got around 60 marks which should be an A fairly comfortably.

Timing is a huge issue when it comes to M3, 4 and 5.
