Will a B in English affect me from going to a good uni?
Hey, so I know this is a far way off but I am already thinking about Uni choices etc. I will be getting my GCSE's this summer and I am hoping for around 1A* 9A's and 2 B's. Both of these B's will most probably be in Language and Literature so would that stop me from going to somewhere such as Durham to do Biology?

Only really if you plan on going to Oxbridge or somewhere, the majority of universities want above a C for English, just so you can understand them

it's unlikely, there are people with significantly worse GCSEs who are doing biology at durham. it's your AS and A2 grades that count, so work hard for those. ps, they love experience and further reading. make sure your personal statement is really good, that's the most important thing!

I've gotten an Oxford offer with a C in English Lit. Then again, English is my second language.
