    is this fashionable?
I have to go to an awards evening for college and the dress code is smart, does this look alright or is it phaggotised.

Does the shirt go with the zip up top?

Personally, I quite like the look of having a smart shirt with a more casual jacket! I think it looks fine

That isn't a great angle to be honest. Do another picture from the front, including trousers and shoes.

It's just with a casual pair of jeans with grey vans.

this isnt really fashionable in all honesty and its a bit casual but if you were going to an awards evening and you have to be smart- why not wear a pencil skirt(idk if you have this in your wardrobe or not) and maybe to save costs etc, tuck the shirt into the high waisted pencil skirt. Red is a good colour for the skirt, and pair with simple earings. If youre not girly, wear maybe black shorts with the shirt tucked in with maybe an over sized blazer or tweed to look smart? of anything dont wear denim shorts if youre going for smart unless youre pairing it up with a pair of heels, a black blazer and simple crisp blouse.
Think the most important thing even though this might be slightly irrelevant for your night, just be comfortable and have confidence and near to anything will look best.

Hahahahaha oh my. Sorry Gok, but OP doesn't seem to be the type to cross dress; especially not for a school/college event.

Doesn't look right. If the dress code is smart, then surely you should be wearing a full on suit? It it's smart casual, you can get away with not wearing a suit jacket and sticking a sweater on top instead. But this just won't cut it I'm afraid mate.

Yes that does look more smart-casual than smart.
