    Thermodynamics
I feel so dumb for not being able to figure this out but how do I Calculate the work done when 8g of Helium expands from 5 dm3 to 12 dm3 against a constant pressure of 0.5 atmospheres? Any help would be lovely

    Re: Thermodynamics
Work done (by the gas) = Change in volume * Pressure, the amount of gas you have is irrelevant as far as I can tell.

General case is that dW = PdV.
