Are Mixed race people really more successful and attractive.I'm incrediby insecure as a young black girl and when I read articles like :

It really doesn't help at all. I have mixed race siblings and I feel like they will do better in life then I will or they may have it a lot easier.
I'm not to sure maybe, maybe not ?
I just wanted to know what other people thought about it.
How do you feel comfortable in your own skin when you've got crazy speculations like this going about.

We are more attractive you could say but it always depends :/

As somebody has already said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So how somebody can say one race is 'more beautiful' than the other is absurd.

Re: Are Mixed race people really more successful and attractive.The reason for mix-races people being more attractive is the fact that most of those people possess attributes that are "different". Eg. black curly hair and light green eyes. It's not as common as lighter straight hair and green eyes or black curly hair and brown eyes. Most people are attractive to things they conciser being "exotic". Like people from countries where they are darker skinned, favour light skinned people and vice versa.
And isn't it so that it's said that "attractive people have it easier"?
I might be wrong.
Should add that I didn't read those articles, because they seem stupid, because it wouldn't make any sense, saying one "race" is more beautiful that another. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and the people who say that one "race" is superior.. Re: Are Mixed race people really more successful and attractive.Well there will probably be many replies to this, but one thing people tend not to focus on is that averages mean very little. It may be offensive to some people to say that one group of people are better than another at a particular thing, but the reality is that when a study is completed that shows this, the differences will be relatively slight, and they will be averages.
Correlation doesn't imply causation, and the fact that mixed race people may tend to do slightly better is probably for many reasons, very few of them being simply down to the fact that they are mixed race. For example, black people in this country are poorer than white people. Offended? Well you shouldn't be. Black people are mostly immigrants, or were previously. Life for immigrants is generally tougher. Numerous geographical, economic, cultural and generally environmental reasons are to account for this average difference in salaries, genetics wouldn't play a part in this case. So there is no smaller chance of you as an individual from being successful.
To put it another way, if it turned out on average that one group of people were faster than another, and you were in the supposedly stupider group, worrying about not being quick enough. Well you're still bound to be far faster than many members of the other group. You would still have the genetic advantage over those members of the other group.
Also, where do you draw the boundaries? Are mixed race people more successful? Or is it specifically mixed race women, with their high average bringing up the group? Or is it just that white people are less successful, and coloured people are more? Or is it that middle class mixed people are more successful than middle class black people, but poorer black people end up more successful than poorer mixed people?
Do you see the points I'm trying to make? Stop worrying!!!!!! :P
Oh and all these examples were purely random, not trying to be racist just in case you were wondering... -

Re: Are Mixed race people really more successful and attractive.I wouldn't say that this is true at all, there's many succesful people of all colours in all fields. It's been said a billion times but i'll make it a billion and one; the attractiveness of someone is subjective to the person making the judgement and can't be judged objectively at all. You can't say 'mixed race people ARE more attractive' because another person might say 'black people ARE more attractive' and they'd both be right, when in fact what they're saying is the opposite. It's just an opinion and that's it, unlike if i were to say 'New York City has many big buildings in it' - a concrete fact which no sane person could argue with.
Point is, don't feel insecure about who you are or your skin colour. If you have confidence in yourself, whether you're black, brown or white, then you'll instantly become more attractive to most people, regardless of any facial features or body characteristics which may or may not be the best. I'm mixed race myself and to be honest with you, it can be a bit of a burden at times when you're faced with people who have set friendships groups which are either white, or Asian and i'm a mix between the both, meaning that in that particular setting i'll fit in nowhere. But i don't let it get to me and i just accept myself as i am and i hope that you do too.
As you can probably tell, i've been celebrating England's win and am a bit drunk and philosophical lol. -

Re: Are Mixed race people really more successful and attractive.I'm mixed race but in reality if you work hard in life anyone should be successful or whatever. Although the science behind it is not incorrect. Obviously whether you find someone attractive is mostly different for everyone, if you look at symmetry of face and biological classifications of 'beautiful' there is a higher percentage of mixed race people that fit those. Its all due to heterozygous genes.

Re: Are Mixed race people really more successful and attractive.In regards to to Mixed raced people being more attractive from what I've experienced alot of black boys/girls and Mixed raced people themselves seem to think that, Even though im mixed raced I dont really think we're the best looking as there are ''Good and Bad'' apples no matter what race and colour. And success wise every celebrity is seen as successful for some reason, and even then there are many many many more black and white celebrities than Mixed raced ones. And if you measure success, intelligence wise then thats bogus aswell, no race is smarter than another. But one advantage we have is that because most mixed raced people have parents from different nations they tend to be fluent in two or more languages.

I'll probably get called racist etc. but I'm not!
I find white girls more attractive than asians (Indian/oriental), Asians more attractive than mixed race, mixed race more attractive than straight up black. Just my honest preferences
