Re: B463 - Health, Social and Sexual Education Bill 2012Fair enough.(Original post by toronto353)
Aye. Just one issue, could you be consistent on your capitalisation. Sometimes you use 'State Schools' and other times 'State schools'. It's a small point, but I need to pick up on something.

Re: B463 - Health, Social and Sexual Education Bill 2012You're right. My impression of PSHEE is that it doesn't really look at any of the areas it covers in particular depth, so I suppose we'll have to specify a different set of requirements rather than just have former-PSHEE teachers do it.(Original post by obi_adorno_kenobi)
I'm interested as to what teachers you're expecting to teach about mental illnesses? I think the bill is missing the detail on the qualifications you're going to be demanding for this beefed up PHSE aspect of the National Curriculum.

Re: B463 - Health, Social and Sexual Education Bill 2012Absolutely, which will mean that schools will need to be provided with additional funding to be able to recruit staff to teach this subject or else you'll be falling back on the staff who teach PHSE already. I'm not sure how it is in England but my old school PHSE was taught by a variety of staff - mine was an RS teacher.(Original post by Abiraleft)

This is something to mull over. Thanks.
You always pick up on the pedantic things
