Re: So whats the worst pain you have ever felt?
I think I mentioned that I had a pionidal sinus in this thread. I had to have surgery to drain and they have to then pack it. (You're basically left with a hole, for the infection to drain) Having stuff taken out of that hole and new stuff put in, is painful.

Re: So whats the worst pain you have ever felt?
The pre-operative pain caused by appendicitis, then the pain caused by a dr ultrasounding and pushing on said inflamed area (who I would have killed happily, if given the chance, I think) and the pain I had after having the damn thing taken out which then persisted for at least a month. Then some terrible UTIs I've had and the spinal tap I had as a child to confirm a (very obvioius!) case of bacterial meningitis. Oh and having cannulas/IVs put in. I don't know why but they seem to be really particularly painful for me.
Stepping on a plug/lego and similar such incidents like stubbing your toe- lots of pain, albeit mostly quite brief, unless like my landlady you manage to stub and then break your toe, in which case, it's not so brief, lol.Last edited by MoonGazer; 19-06-2012 at 23:10. -
Re: So whats the worst pain you have ever felt?
Bursitis in the elbow - inflammation of my bursas - the fluid-filled sacs which keep elbow movement smooth.
Wasn't *too* bad until it ended up rupturing inside my elbow and them became infected... then for one week straight, every waking hour was filled with almost unbearable pain. Often felt faint. Even touching the elbow surface without any pressure - let alone leaning it on a desk (which is an impulsive thing I did, with dire consequences) - was enough to put the already-agonising pain on a different level entirely. Not pleasant... -
Re: So whats the worst pain you have ever felt?
Worst pain I've ever felt was probably intussusception as a baby, but I don't remember that :P worst pain that I can remember is probably the pain I've had for the past three months; a UTI that became a kidney infection requiring hospitalization, which has now cleared up but I have days where I'm still in so much pain from it, so waiting for a referral to a specialist. It feels like someone is stabbing a bruise, that's the only way I can really describe it - and when someone touches it with any pressure, it's agonizing.

Re: So whats the worst pain you have ever felt?I have 100% attendance now :P I was just explaining how I need above 95% but I haven't missed a day all year(Original post by OU Student)
Maybe if you explain your problems, (doctors note would be a good idea) they may still let you into college?

i'm gonna say anytime i've had cramp in my foot
that must make me sound such a wuss but oh my gooodness it's EXCRUCIATING every single time
i'll be in college or someone quiet and posh and i'll literally have to scream and swear bloody mary, it's so embarrassing, i think somethings wrong with my body
or when i used solid carrot oil for a week in tenerife
couldn't lie in bed, had to sleep sitting down, had to stay in the same clothes for days, had to put off going the toilet as long as possible cause knickers scraping my thighs was just unbearable!
oh cramp and sunburn, i guess i've been lucky if that's the worst pain i've had hahaha
