I'm not religious, I think it's crazy to follow something like that in life, you should just do what you want and all that. #yolo

This is pointless. Any religious person will rationalize that they don't need whatever their beliefs prevents them from having.

Maybe because there are rational reasons behind the prohibitions?

beloved brother lets imagine for now that ur a headteacher of a school be it primary or whatever, and one day u ran short of maths teachers. So as it goes u try to hire some math teachers but before that u MUST do an interview right?

ok, lets say that 3 turn up ok? u ask each one them a simple equation like 3+3 ok? bear with me teacher1 says ''5'' teacher2 say ''6'' and t3 says ''33''

Now knowing clearly that 3+3 =6 u chase the t1 and t3 away and u employee t2. My question is why did u do that why???? well it's b'coz u know the truth right?Same in Islam, in no other book does God say that this is the right religion go through the bible and Torah God doesn't say this.
.... So let me get this straight. I'm not sure if this is what you were getting at because your lack of punctuation makes it hard to know when a sentence starts/ends.
You believe that Islam is the right religion... because the Quran says so?

    Wow.

The rational reason is religious people like to exert control over their followers. They control the small stuff like diet and that gives them greater control e.g. mate choice.

your saying women cause rape on themselves just because they dont cover their hair and body? ok lol.
No, I think that guy meant, that a woman going out dressed immodestly, revealing a lot of her body is more likely to get raped than a woman whose completely covered up. Which is true, one looks more attractive than the other.
So here, I'm note going to generalise, but in some rapes the woman does play a role.

As statistics proved that most women get raped from previous parteners, friends, or other family members.

    Wow.
Yes, if you study about islam, you'll learn that the quran is a self authenticating holy book.

Thats how muslims regard it, they believe it's the word of God, it has never been alerted, so therefore whatever is in the quran is correct.

Those are just that, fantasies. The reality I'd imagine would be horrifying and no sane human being would want to endure it.

Men are responsible for their actions, women that get raped should not suffer any blame at all, even if they walked naked through the streets.

For all the religious people out there does your religion stop you from enjoying your life more. For example any particular restrictions it might have or things that you have to practice that you don't really like but only comply because you have faith?
I think it's difficult for religious folk to answer such a question.

For example, North Korean citizens believe they are free. A good portion of them would choose not to be an American if you offered them the chance; even being aware of the large disparity in personal freedom, they would probably say that Americans are simply decadent, and they value their patriotism and the Holy Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Jong-Eun far more than a few material luxuries and personal freedoms.

Sorry I don't agree with you on that, put chocolate in front of a hungry toddler and tell the child not to eat it...

    Works eh?

The people who believe that the Quran is true 'cause it says it is an the guy who said girls not in a relationship want to be raped are rather funny, the sheer lunacy of their beliefs are crazy.

Now, don't go disputing what I'm saying now, 'cause I've written it down and therefore, according to my atheistic beliefs, it must be true.

Funniest thread I've seen for a while.

Being atheist has restricted me in that I can't go on these really cool christian summer camps that my friends are all going on this summer. Although the point of them seems to be bribing teenagers into bible study and stuff by offering surfing and camping trips, so I'm not that badly off.

Children are not mature. Adults are and are expected to be in control of their actions. Your analogy fails because men do not have the discipline and maturity of toddlers.
