How to get rid of half used aerosol cans.
I've had half-used deodorant and shaving cans (4 in total) laying about the home for years for the very reason we don't know what to do with them. The deodorants have all gone rank and the shaving cream was from about 2003 (horrible stuff, left me with serious rash).

I no longer use aerosols instead things in pumps and roll-ons that are easier to recycle.

What should I do with them. Is it same to put them in a bag for roadside collection. I'm worried about the crusher thing on the van, won't explode will it?

    ...won't explode will it?
No. It might implode, but it won't blow up the trash truck or anything. Those things are seriously heavy-duty; designed for this kind of thing.

    I bin mine.

I just throw mine in the bin. You can always take them directly to a recycling/waste facility if you're concerned.

Don't just throw it away! can do so much fun stuff with aerosol cans.

A good one is to tie them all together and either shoot them or put some flammable liquid over them and use a make shift fuse to make it go boom. Four ounces of deodorant is the equivalent of one stick of dynamite so use that as a guide to how far you should stand back (pretty far).

Remember safety first so don't get any on your clothes, it stains.

Oh my god, I literally have this same problem! I'm so glad I'm not the only one.

I also never know what to do with the centre cardboard bit in the middle of loo rolls. Do you just bin it? Might the trash man get his head stuck in it like a retarded pigeon? Please help me, I've got hundreds of them and I don't know what to do!

at the most itll puncture them and make the truck smell a bit nicer ... theyre just lightly pressurized containers, not pipe bombs...

Whatever you do don't put them in the bin, you'll damage the bin.

Put them on a fire and stand close, so you know when they're gone.
