Re: Justin Bieber fan sparks controversy with Kurt Cobain remark
also the people getting so het up about this ON TWITTER... a PUBLIC medium... are clearly just doing it for some kind of posery image and to make themselves feel superior. why else would you feel the need to directly tweet a young teenager abuse for expressing her opinion. leave the kid alone.

Re: Justin Bieber fan sparks controversy with Kurt Cobain remarkshe's doing it for the retweets... and for people around her to think she's "cool"... i just don't get twitter. it's just a self promotion tool. unless you're using it to "contact" celebs then it's just pointless.(Original post by CherryCherryBoomBoom)
That said, comments like this worry me a little:
She's probably not being serious, but it's still a bit dramatic to claim to not want to live just because someone has a different music opinion to you
. How about we all just learn to get along and accept the wonderful differences about us?

Some of the younger generation's obsession with worthless celebrities is pretty disturbing.
and I thought our generation, which has allowed the likes of TOWIE and Geordie shore make it big, was bad. ****'s getting worse.

Re: Justin Bieber fan sparks controversy with Kurt Cobain remark
I think Justin Bieber is more famous for being an annoying little sh!t than he is for being a singer to be honest.
Not so long ago I heard some chav at college say to her friend "isn't nirvana dead?". I felt like butting in and having a go at her but I was rendered completely speechless which is quite a rare occurrence for me. I honestly could not think of anything that I could say to give justice to my inner outrage and I didn't feel like getting verbally or possibly physically abused by chavs for the sake of useless words. It's times like that when I hope that the incarnation belief has some truth in it. If there's any justice in the world then that stupid girl will come back as a dung beetle. -
Re: Justin Bieber fan sparks controversy with Kurt Cobain remarkclever, but it was in fact one of the best years for music, what with the height of britpop, black's and morrissey's solo albums, grace, massive attack, guided by voices, nas, portishead, pavement, biggie, nin, cave, weezer, low, manics, aphex twin...

Re: Justin Bieber fan sparks controversy with Kurt Cobain remark
No disrespect to the dead or an accomplished musician: but what's more idiotic is the blind following of Kurt Cobain as a god by angsty 13 year olds who obviously, can't remember him, being born after he died. It would be okay if they truly believed Nirvana was the be all and end all of music but I don't think the majority of them think about the value of music they just know you've got to love Kurt Cobain.

Re: Justin Bieber fan sparks controversy with Kurt Cobain remarki dont understand why people care what a bieber obssesed teen has to say(Original post by hbk4894)
A Justin Bieber fanatic on Twitter has sparked controversy by comparing the Canadian singer and Kurt Cobain.
The user, who calls herself Amanda Bieber, prompted a viral feud when she suggested that Bieber is "much bigger" than the late Nirvana frontman.

She tweeted: "Justin Bieber is much bigger than Kurt Cobain, so shut up. Did Kurt Cobain ever have the biggest fanbase on Twitter? NO."
The post was retweeted over 5,000 times, with angry fans of Cobain complaining about the teen's "disrespect".
However, the poster has continued to make disparaging remarks about Cobain, as well as other iconic musicians including Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury.
She added: "Kurt Cobain is trending because of my tweets about how Bieber is much better than him. I made you relevant Kurt, you owe me!"
Justin Bieber has yet to comment on the messages, although the fan has tweeted at him directly, saying: "Justin I love you so much please follow me."

Re: Justin Bieber fan sparks controversy with Kurt Cobain remark
I like Nirvana songs but I'm not an all out fan of what they did. However that said I really don't like pop music and the teeny pop celebrity culture nonsense that exists, with people like Justin Bieber at the helm. And frankly fans like the one mentioned in the OP is an example of the sort of moronic fan that just makes it all worse.
All you can really do is just point and laugh at morons like that. -
