Re: Muslims, if the Kaaba is destroyed...What point are you trying to make? Do you mean to say it wouldn't affect you since Muslims are killed every day?(Original post by Florrick)
“The Blood of a Muslim is worth more than the Ka’aba.”
(Sunan Ibn Majah; Silsilah El Saheehah: hadith #3420; -
Re: Muslims, if the Kaaba is destroyed...In terms of today, in accordance to Islam, it shouldn't affect me much.(Original post by Some random guy)

Re: Muslims, if the Kaaba is destroyed...But then what about Hajj? How is that possible without the Kaaba? Muslims believe that the Kaaba will be destroyed one day yet there doesn't seem to be a plan B for Hajj when that happens.(Original post by Florrick)

Re: Muslims, if the Kaaba is destroyed...The Kaaba is meant to be sacred, Muslims believe it is the house of God in a metaphorical sense. Normal people cannot build it as it wouldn't be the same Kaaba and therefore the rite of Hajj would not be possible.(Original post by kka25)
Like anything important or significant e.g. World Trade Center, Pisa, etc, the people of Mecca would rebuild it and get funds from other Muslims? -
Re: Muslims, if the Kaaba is destroyed...That'll happen in the end of times according to Islam where no faithful believer will remain. It's not going to make a lot of difference.(Original post by Some random guy)

Re: Muslims, if the Kaaba is destroyed...Really? I read somewhere that it was flooded once, and they had to make repairs to it, and if I'm not mistaken, the people who repaired it were what you called 'normal' people lol.(Original post by Some random guy)

And no, I've never heard it's the house of God, even metaphorically! If I'm not mistaken, it's the direction where the Muslims would direct their prayers to - that has also been acknowledged by a teacher of mine that practices a different religion!Last edited by kka25; 17-06-2012 at 07:13. -

Re: Muslims, if the Kaaba is destroyed...Yes repairs have been carried out but the original structure remains intact. This hypothetical scenario involves the Kaaba being completely destroyed to the point that a completely new one would have to be built in it's place, not just a few repairs or extensions.(Original post by kka25)

Re: Muslims, if the Kaaba is destroyed...What if nothing happens and the Kaaba remains a smoking ruin?(Original post by Gawjuz.x)
Just how we all look after our own houses, God will look after His. -
Well, no it won't effect my faith, might just make me a stronger believer, the kaba was previously destroyed by a flood, and it was rebuilt by prophet mohamed.(Original post by Some random guy)
... by a natural disaster or a man made event, what would your reaction be? Would it affect your faith?
But the foundations of the kaaba are really strong, about 6m under ground.
And after all God is the protector

Re: Muslims, if the Kaaba is destroyed...I guess, just like anything, rebuild it again? I don't think the original structure is that important; the site is more important. Like I said, as I understand, it's just a direction for Muslims to point where they pray - if not, every Muslims would point to different directions lol. The rocks and the foundation of the Kaaba, if lost, would be a big significant lost to the Muslims, but I think life still goes on, and they will still pray as usual - because they would still know where the place wouldn't they? Muslims don't worship the Kaaba.(Original post by Some random guy)

It's impossible to completely destroy it.(Original post by Some random guy)

Re: Muslims, if the Kaaba is destroyed...Let it be like so, it was God's will. We can't answer these types of things because it has never happened. Up until now, there is a Kaaba and we will keep going there for Pilgrimage and continue with our religion as normal(Original post by Some random guy)
