Nottingham and Birmingham are not normal
I do like a southern accent on a girl but they do sound posh. Southern accents are how you can spot students in Leeds. They stick out like a sore thumb from the locals once they open their mouth
The northen accent that probably turns me off the most is the Scottish accent.

Re: Northern or Southern girls?Hard one. The general stereotype is that northerners are friendlier, more outgoing, and generally nicer (once you get past the accents).
Personally I've met lovely southern girls, and bitchy southern girls. I've also met nice northern girls and bitchy northern girls. I find southern accents sexier, so I guess I lean more towards southerners (that said my girlfriend is from the north, albeit her accent isn't that strong). -

am not from england, but the impression I get is that the northerners seem more down to earth.I am going by soaps, footballers and other english celebs I know lol. Not very good sources haha
