Re: AQA Geography B:Unit 2 Hostile World 18th Junethere can't be volcanoes,at a conservative plate margin and I pretty much knew Indonesia is a destructive plate margin anyway.(Original post by 24hoursmiles)
With that question, alot of people I know put conservative, because the diagram wasnt exactly clear, but there were 2 arrows in opposite directions next to each other...so...i can see where that was an issue... -
Re: AQA Geography B:Unit 2 Hostile World 18th JuneIm pretty sure it wasnt specified on volcanoes, it was earthquakes...(Original post by Dalek1099)

Re: AQA Geography B:Unit 2 Hostile World 18th Junei put exactly what it said in the text given. that it had been smoking for a few days but was not thought to be dangerous so people didnt think about preparing for it.(Original post by Donny29)
yeah there was a question like that on one of the practise papers and I got confused. There were like 3 arrows or something like that in total. But it was destructive plate boundary. What did you guys put for why it took people by surprise ?
im not sure if its right though -
Re: AQA Geography B:Unit 2 Hostile World 18th Junethe first question was about describing the distribution of volcanoes the second part was explain why there are earthquakes in and around Indonesia.(Original post by Dalek1099)

Re: AQA Geography B:Unit 2 Hostile World 18th June
sorry for the scrape, but for that question I think I said they set up tmergency shelteers for those who were affected by the volcanic eruption. I linked it to a case study because it said use your own knowledge: like the mount etna one where bulldozers were used to to restrict the area of acess. And in the past the italian authorites have ised dynamite and miltary bombing to divert the flow of lava. I'm not sure if it is right ....

Re: AQA Geography B:Unit 2 Hostile World 18th JuneAll sorts about etna and describing what was on the figure, pretty simple really.(Original post by xAsadk)
yeah what did you write for that? -

What did you get in Unit 1? because the fact that I got 100% last time is what's bugging me.I'm so disappointed that I've let everyone down and obviously, haven't achieved my potential in this exam.
btw Congrats on the 100% -
Re: AQA Geography B:Unit 2 Hostile World 18th JuneWhat did you get 1st time?and may I ask what will be the cost of the remark?and how do you get the remark?because I was considering remarking because I got 100% last time and the grade I got was unexplainable.(Original post by xAsadk)
