Edexcel German GCSE Listening
Hi guys,
I have my German GCSE Reading and Listening exams next month. I would like to do as many past listening papers so I can improve my listening since I have been the weakest in that. Also if you could give me any german reading edexcel papers I would be grateful for that too!
Any tips or advice? -
Re: Edexcel German GCSE Listeningdo a listening paper, mark it, then go through the transcript and write and and look up any words you didn't understand and get someone to test you until you know them. do this with as many past papers as you can find.(Original post by Frankster)

Edexcel GCSE German Listening 18th June
Surprised there was no thread on this exam.
How's everyone feeling about tomorrow's exam. Prepared? I've done a few listening papers on AQA and Edexcel, but not at all much. So unprepared but i think ill be ready.
Good luck to all. After all, how hard can it be... -
Re: Edexcel GCSE German Listening 18th June
Waahh I have done barely any revision and I really want an A* overall !! I'm so glad that it's in the afternoon so that I can do a bit of revision and some practise papers tomorrow, I guess I'll just have to hope for the best.
Good luck to everyone who's taking it

I've got geography in the morning, so I've been trying frantically to revise for both. German is all about just linking words and being able to recognise it. The reading is so much better than the listening, you have to first listen to the accent then work out what the hell they are saying, with the reading it's just there.

Re: Edexcel GCSE German Listening 18th JuneI completely agree. I'm taking the reading paper more seriously than the listening!(Original post by _Shmiley)

Re: Edexcel GCSE German Listening 18th June
I am doing the Edexcel GCSE German listening paper tomorrow. Well technically it is today as now it is the early hours of the morning. I am rather nervous, but not scared. It will probably be my worst part of the German GCSE. I am hoping for an A overall. For the 4 coursework pieces already done (Writing/Speaking) I scored A, A*, A, A.

Re: Edexcel GCSE German Listening 18th June
Urrgh, I have Stats tomorrow (at school until 4:30), as well as Geography in the morning, so it's three for me

Just to dispel any fears over A Level requirements; my German teacher admitted to me that in her GCSE German, she got a B. That's still a pretty high grade, but it means we don't have to get an A* or even an A to have a chance at a job largely involving German
Also, even if tomorrow (...today?) goes spectacularly badly, there's always the other parts of the qualification to bump up the grade.
Good luck everyone!!!
