commuting from bournemouth to winchester uni

Hi, I'm 21 and going to winchester uni in September to study childhood, youth and community studies. I live in bournemouth and will be commuting everyday so am trying to see if i can find anybody else in the same situation who would want to car share with me?!

I am happy to do all the driving and share petrol would be a lot cheaper for everybody

somebody from southampton could also be useful as I could drive past on the way

    Hi Esme

Funny you should post today, I too am starting at Winchester uni Sept 2012. I am doing combined Health, Community & Social Care studies with Sociology and have just been researching transport etc. I am thinking that the South Winchester park and Ride is looking liking a good option. I know the prospective days I need to attend are Tues 12-6pm, Thurs 9-3pm and Fri 12-3pm. Does that fit in with your course timetable? I have friend who lives in Bournemouth too who is hoping to be accepted on the same course as me and if she is accepted we would be travelling together but would be great if there are 3 of us, would certainly reduce travel costs.

Let me know if this is any good,
    Phae

    Hi Phae,

Yeah I was looking at park &ride or getting a pay as you go permit in the uni but I've heard it's difficult to get a space. I went to winchester uni in 2009 (but dropped out lol) and I used to commute from Southampton and there was parking round the cornor on residential streets and I managed to find a space every day That's cool I think the health and childhood courses share som modules too. I originally got accepted onto the health,, community and social care studied bu changed to the childhood course. I don't have any idea about my timetable yet how did you find yours out?
3 of us would be great! save so much money and would know people before we start

if its easier add me on facebook
