When am I officially not a student?
I've just finished my final year and graduate in September, I've been working throughout my degree on a tax-free basis as I'm a student.

When will I officially become a non-student and start to be taxed? When I graduate? End of the academic year?

Students aren't taxed? Did I miss something?

You're a non-student once your course finishes and no longer in full time education.

Being a student does not effect income tax. You will be taxed if you earn more than the personal allowance (currently £8,105 a year).

You should have a council tax exemption certificate, the expiry date is a good indication you aren't a student.

The official end date for term is usually when you're not classed as a student anymore. But as others have said you won't pay tax unless you earn over the threshold.

Well, you have to earn under the threshold, but you shouldn't be working over 20 hours a week whilst being a student ideally.

You're working on a tax free basis as you're under the personal allowance. It's a myth that students don't have to pay tax, otherwise Bill Gates and co would go back to university.

    Check out this: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/rates/it.htm

You'll get a little income tax break above the average when you hit 65, something to look forward to..... (although that'll probably be raised by the time you're that age).

That was a sarcastic statement. Student income tax is the same as everyone else's.
