Re: When am I officially not a student?Well, you have to earn under the threshold, but you shouldn't be working over 20 hours a week whilst being a student ideally.(Original post by M1011)
Students aren't taxed? Did I miss something? -
Re: When am I officially not a student? You're working on a tax free basis as you're under the personal allowance. It's a myth that students don't have to pay tax, otherwise Bill Gates and co would go back to university.(Original post by Findlay6)
I've just finished my final year and graduate in September, I've been working throughout my degree on a tax-free basis as I'm a student.
When will I officially become a non-student and start to be taxed? When I graduate? End of the academic year?

You'll get a little income tax break above the average when you hit 65, something to look forward to..... (although that'll probably be raised by the time you're that age). -
Re: When am I officially not a student? That was a sarcastic statement. Student income tax is the same as everyone else's.(Original post by Findlay6)
