Bills in a house, being split by six people? - How much a week should I expect?
Hey, I am moving into a house next year with six other people. This is the first time that I have lived in a student house where I have had to pay Bills, so I don't really know what to expect.
I know noone can give me an exact amount, but it would be interesting to know what you guys paid roughly per week towards house bills?
Thanks! -

I live in a flat of 6. We pay our bills per quarter, electric is usually £500-600 in total, so about £100 each, water is usually about ~£30 each. Internet, including line rental, was £32 each for the whole year.
So if you put £10-ish on one side you should be okay

Re: Bills in a house, being split by six people? - How much a week should I expect?£500-600 per week? Were they powering the large hadron collider from your house? Lol(Original post by Sakura-Chan)

Re: Bills in a house, being split by six people? - How much a week should I expect?I live in a house with 10 people and pay £3.70 a week. This only includes electric / lighting / gas. TV / Internet is separately purchased by everyone.(Original post by StudyHard_LiveBetter)
Anyone else be able to help? -
Re: Bills in a house, being split by six people? - How much a week should I expect? It says that is the electricity per quarter which is 3 months.(Original post by Jam')

Don't you think we'd have enough sense to know that something was massively wrong if we were paying £500+ a week?

Re: Bills in a house, being split by six people? - How much a week should I expect? We're with O2(Original post by joelw)
Where did you get internet that cheap?! I'm at Newcastle too.
I just checked my O2 account at it was £36 not £32!
When we signed up for it, they were doing a deal where if you'd had a phone with them for more than two years, you could get 6 months of the internet contract for free. We have the most expensive package, so if you chose a cheaper one it'd be cheaper still (duh), but ''the works'' is pretty good if you've got a lot of people hogging the internet at once. We didn't have a telephone line so have to pay for that too, which is about £7.50 a month, I think it might have gone up slightly though.
Spoiler:ShowSo, that's:
7.50 x 12 = 90 (for line rental)
21 x 6 = 126
126 + 90 = 216 in total, and 36 when split between 6 people.
Just making sure I worked it out right
