I travel alone all the time but hate group tours. I prefer the freedom of exploring on my own especially in places like NYC and DC.

Spent a year traveling solo when I was 20. No biggy if your an independent person anyway. But as a solo girl there obv places that joining a group of people is highly recommended so I know im safe etc. Trek America should be fine and i imagine there would be plenty other solos on the tour thing.

I definitely would travel alone. I went to America with The Green Tortoise cause they offer some great trips (the same thing as Trek but cost less -- oh and the food is fantastic!) I met some amazing people from all over and now have a friend in Australia who I will be visiting next!

I am a girl but after uni I definitely want to do some solo trekking. I've done research and found plenty of nightmare fuel, but preparation is everything.

I am scheduled to become a bum-kicking ninja before I take on the travelling rapist-psycho-murderers who will track me across the globe.

Seriously, if the right precautions are taken and a girl's not stupid, she can still get into a life threatening situation. Like a guy travelling on his own. But having a vagina makes the risk higher. Whatever. I can take it. Come at me!

The world is pretty cool and worth taking a level in badass to marginally reassure oneself. Asia! Australasia! America! How can you not want to explore all that?
