Had applied to do Architecture to 5 other unis (hence carrying on with Art rather than Maths) realised I wanted to do Physics instead. Planned to do a 3rd year to finish off my maths but emailed some unis about applying through Extra to see if any would take me this year, Exeter said they'd look at my application so I gave it a shot not really expecting anything and ended up getting an offer

They gave me a list of maths topics I need to cover over summer. Not sure why the offer's so low since I'm predicted A*A*A, although a student there said it could be contextual given that my school and college aren't fantastic.

Did you end up going to Exeter then?
Ahh right. Odd route to take but pretty impressive that they're taking you anyway. Says you must have been doing something very right, so well done.

Nah, it basically came down to B'ham or Exeter, both with an AAA offer and I went with Birmingham in the end. Exeter was really nice though (the city and the uni), and it was pretty close.

I imagine exactly the same level of stress; it's the same situation ("Will I do well enough?") but at a slightly higher academic level, as suits them personally. :P
    Very true!
I'm not naturally academically gifted, and my focus shuts off after like 4 hours to revise - so 3B's is an amazing achievement for ME. But for some people 3B's would be like failure!

Definitely, I seem to have a habit of making life difficult for myself Thank you. Having doubts about whether I'll be too disadvantaged by only having taught myself maths over summer, guess I'll see how it goes and if I'm not feeling confident may have to consider doing the extra year anyway.

Ah wow, Birmingham seems really good for Physics, if I did end up doing the extra year it'd definitely be one of my options!

I'd really like AAAA, peferably with a few A*s but i don't know how likely either of those two will be given how poorly my exams have gone so far.
i only need ABB any way, hopefully that will be achievable!
as for revision; about 20 minutes a day, if that, except the day before the exam when i realise how foolish i have been..

I have Economics tomorrow and Business on Thursday then all done.
Finding it so hard to find things to revise ready for tomorrow! Luckily Economics exams (for WJEC) is 'positive marking', so they won't mark you down if you say things that are incorrect!

Done about 4 hours revision today and got complete burn-out Need a tea i think
