Are you happy with your teams opening fixtures?
the title says it all , are you happy with who your team has been given in the first month of the season

    I am a Bolton fan

here are first few matches in August

18 - August - Burnley Away ( mixed feeling about it)

21 - August - Derby home (hopeful for a win)

25 - August - Forest home (another hopeful for a win , will be a tricky game though)

Who really cares? It's random and will always be better or worse for each time but at the end of the day, you're going to have to play every team home and away over the course of the season.

Happy that QPR is the first home game. Dad's a QPR fan so we're going to try and get tickets. Plus it's Hughton's first home game :-D

We have Ipswich away, but it doesn't matter because we'd have been beat no matter who we played.

Is it? Some fixtures over the years has made me think that they weren't random after all. Both times a Premier League manager moved to another Premier League club before the fixtures are decided, have resulted in a fixture with his old club against his new club on the first day of the season. This season it's Rodgers, and a while back it was Allardyce. Plus, fixtures are subject to the demands of TV companies anyway, like he Chelsea-Spurs FA Cup semi-final being played at 6pm on a Sunday.

That hasn't stopped people moaning that their team has away fixtures during the Champions League.

It's not random. The Merseyside Derby has been at Goodison first for the past 10 years.

Well it would be 50/50 every year so there's no reason why randomness cannot result in 10 in a row..

Are you seriously trying to suggest that, or do you want to go work out the odds of 10 straight heads when you flip a coin, which is 1 in 1024

The 1 in.. being the operative part. Just because it is less likely, doesn't mean it can't happen
