What's the most emotional/moving film you've ever seen?

Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

Marley and Me. The same went for the book. For some reason it's stories about animals that have the power to transform me into a bawling baby.

Million Dollar Baby was really really moving. I thought it was great, but I could hardly bear to watch it at some points. I found Requiem For A Dream very moving too. The opening scene of Up was pretty moving (even if the film was pretty crap), and Forrest Gump too.

The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (when Sirius dies) are my top two probably, I can't really think of others, but I've probably missed a couple that got me choked up
In addition: what about books? Mine's got to be The Book Thief, it's the first book that ever made me cry!

The Green Mile is a really good choice. Also the Shawshank Redemption?
OH and it's not really moving the whole way through but the end to The Wind That Shakes the Barley.

I'm not sure, but the only films I've cried at are Lassie and War Horse.

I wept at 'Babe'. Always have, even when I was younger... the scene where he thinks his mum's going to 'pig heaven' and she's actually going to the butcher's... :'(
