What's the most emotional/moving film you've ever seen?

Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

I want to watch it, but a lot of people say that it drags on for too long, is that true?
hmm, well its kind of a long film, but i didn't find any bits of it boring or anything. I guess different people will feel differently about it.

Not your mainstream films but definitely worth a watch, both heartbreaking and inspiring

One is 'Inside I'm Dancing' and the other is 'Still Crazy'
Still Crazy with Bill Nighy, Jimmy Nail etc? Love that film!

I know some have already mentioned some of these, but

    A Beautiful Mind
Schindler's List (especially because I've visited Auschwitz)
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (I missed the last 10 minutes of this movie, so I was left feeling really depressed.)

Don't know if this thread has ever been done before but I'm intrigued to hear some responses.

I can think of loads but I'll start off with 'Pay it forward' and 'The Green Mile'.

    Edit:
Was just thinking about it and 'The lovely Bones' and 'My sisters Keeper' were very incredibly moving too.
The two that come to mind-lord of the rings and the beautiful mind.

Re: What's the most emotional/moving film you've ever seen?
I am renowned for crying during almost any film (yes, I did cry during Finding Nemo- err, his mum died) so saying I found a film moving doesn't necessarily say a lot. But some of the suggestions already- The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, Titanic, The Green Mile, My Sister's Keeper, Pay it Forward and Up- all had me in floods. I'm a big one for real girly romantic films, so The Notebook, Dear John, The Lucky One (all Nicholas Sparks books actually?) get me. As I say though even a touching cartoon- Finding Nemo, Toy Story 3, Over the Hedge (!) has me sniffling.
