Re: DeviantArt Thread(Original post by kiss_me_now9)
Couldn't find any threads about this in the search so I thought I'd start one - a thread for people to promote and talk about their deviantArt accounts.
DeviantArt is a website used to upload and promote all kinds of art, from drawing to poetry, to digital art and physical art. There's room for everyone!
My account is http://nibblesx.deviantart.com/ and I post mainly photography (normally animal). If I get enough responses to this thread, I thought we could have a little directory of deviantArtists so post your link and what you upload and we'll get it started!

Re: DeviantArt Thread
I upload a lot of sketches done in pencil, but I'm trying to focus more digital art in the future!

Re: DeviantArt Threadi really like your pencil work! i'd definitely say it has more going for it than your digital work does, though i'm guessing that's why you want to do more so you can improve.(Original post by SelfishShellfish)

i'm the same but in reverse i guess, i'd like to be more confident with traditional mediums!

Re: DeviantArt Thread
My deviantart is fairly new as my last account was when I was still in early secondary school and was truly shockingly bad. I haven't got that much better but I am improving.
So far there is mainly photography on there, one painting and two sketches. But I will be putting up the paintings I have done through GSCE and AS. Will also be putting up more sketching as I am trying to capture, the gorgeous, Tom Hiddleston. My first attempt isn't great.

Re: DeviantArt ThreadThanks, I want to go in to illustration so have been trying to improve my figure drawing this summer. It's much easier in pencil than on a tablet, but then sometimes I scan them in and work on them in Photoshop.(Original post by beccafairy)

I've had this for ages but only recently came back to it. I've added some fresh work, removed some of the outdated stuff etc. Let me know what you think! -

Re: DeviantArt Thread
Hey! Here's my DeviantART! (First ever post on this site so forgive me if I mess up this post a bit)
http://ltrevill.deviantart.com/
I work on drawing Anime, Humans (Friends and celebrities) and I do it in traditional art with no digital editing!
I've (tried to) uploaded 4 different drawings of mine, two are my Black and white drawings, one anime one and the other a human one of Marilyn Monroe, the others two are pencil drawings, one giant action scene in anime and one of a sketch I've done of david beckham which I am working on at the moment!

Re: DeviantArt Thread
This is my DeviantART http://cheelossom.deviantart.com/ , It's kind of a new one (wanted to start over again) It's a little all over the place at the moment XD
I love working on a lot of different styles, but right now... I'm trying to find something comfortable, so I'm posting a lot of experimental work. (Vector art work seems to be turning up in there lately). I'm actually new to digital arts, and wanna learn more.. [i'd also never really studied art "properly" till last year so my stuff is ....random.. ] -
Re: DeviantArt Thread
I'm surprised I haven't seen a thread related to deviantart other than this one, you have some lovely photography there by the way! :3
I'm not really sure what category I would place myself in but I'm guessing it would be Traditional?

My first post on this site and it's related to another, ah well! Got to start somewhere... -

Re: DeviantArt Thread
Oooo it is so nice to see people submitting personal art alongside their studies ^^
I have been on DA for about 4 years now, and I am a strangely active user who has not got bored finding art and exploring galleries.
Mine: http://littlemissnoface.deviantart.com/ I generally theme around night-terrors/sexuality/gender and I use a variety of media. (though I never feel very happy with my gallery, I always think I can do better than it represents
)
If anyone knows any good artists for sexuality on DA I'd b interested to see ^^ -

What I noticed about your pencil work was the style you have going on would work really well with more definition. I was thinking maybe using ink or marker pen?
Maybe even trying some black paint with sponges and a skewer to pull the paint out into long lines?
I think it just looks like your line work isn't being shown off enough.
If you don't like the sound of any of this, perhaps a softer pencil? This will make your work more darker and contrast with the white of the paper.
Also, just experiment with different things, this helps developing artists. (it's helping me XD)Last edited by LittleMissNoface; 14-11-2012 at 20:12.
