Re: Are these slim fast diets safe?Yes, but in your 20's that doesn't matter so much, as people are very robust.(Original post by xoxAngel_Kxox)
"Safe" as in "probably won't die" yes, but that doesn't mean they're the healthiest way. Plus if you're already a size 8 chances are you don't need to do anything as drastic. Eat a healthy balanced diet, and do plenty of exercise. -
Re: Are these slim fast diets safe? How do you know she's in her 20s? I was just pointing out that the healthiest way is always balance. Slim Fast is a fad, but it would have the desired effect as long as the diet was followed properly.(Original post by Norton1)

Your body will go into starvation mode and store every calorie so when you start eating normally again you will put on weight again really quickly. It's much better and much more useful in the long term to lose weight through exercise and a healthy, balanced diet, like WeightWatchers.

8/10 if fine. don't go turning into one of those girls who obsessively lose weight until you can see the out line of their instestines through their skin.
I have a really skinny friend and thats natural because of high metabolism- she is healthy and carries it off well. if it isn't your natural shape based on a healthy lifestyle then you'll look like a corpse.
Go see a doctor for advice.
But if you must lose weight at least eat real food insted of nutritionally starving yourself, you could try 2 days carbs 1 day protein - that works.
