    Engineering Universities
I want to study either Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Manufactuuring Engineering at Higher Eductain level, however I want to choose good and well established universities - mainly Russel Group Unis. Ive been researching for about a year now and I understand that unis such as Cambridge, imperial, UCL, Oxford, Warwick are good pales to go to. But I want a course that isn't too pragmatic nor too academic and mathsy (what I anticipate Cambridge as being like).
Does anyone have any suggestions please? Especially if you go to any of these unis.

I was also thinking of Manchester or Durham, but not sure still.
I'm applying for September 2013 entry

If you're looking for Manufacturing Engineering (or Mechanical Engineering) I would suggest Nottingham University!

I'm going there in September to do Product Design and Manufacture Engineering (MEng). It's a really great course, the lecturers really care about the subject and the course director (I've had a few chats with him) is really nice and a great person.

It's also a great university, high reputation, lovely campus....(though I am a bit biased on the topic.)

I would definetly check out Nottingham! The Mechanical Engineering and Product Design and Manufacture Engineering share the same first year, so you can always transfer during the year/end of first year to the other course if you change your mind!
