Hey, I was reading the prospectus for Warwick university and couldn't help but be amazed by that opportunity to spend time in Venice. The only thing stopping me from wanting to apply there is the learning Italian issue. I've only ever learned French before at GCSE (got an A) so was wondering whether they expect you to know at least basic Italian when you start, because I don't think I even know hello.
