Your five most hated TV characters?
In response to the Top 5 Favourite Characters thread, who are the five characters that you've really hated, whether it be because of the actors or the actual character's actions?

    In no particular order:

    1. Simon Adebisi (Oz)

    2. Jim Fenner (Bad Girls)

    3. Trevor Morgan (Eastenders)

    4. Jenny Schecter (The L Word)

    5. Emily Waltham (Friends)

I can only think of one at the moment, Sheldon Cooper. Don't get me wrong, I think Jim Parsons is a wonderful actor and I do enjoy Sheldon's jokes most of the time but that character annoys me the most at the moment.
Yeah he is obnoxious - but not the most hated characters.

    My list:
    1. Carrie Bradshaw, "Sex and the City"- Go ahead ladies, flood my inbox. Leave a plethora of terribly worded insulting comments at the end of this entry. Go ahead, but I’m right on this one. Without question one of the most pretentious and self-absorbed people to have ever appeared on TV. The self-important narration, the attempt to make something profound out of promiscuous sexual behaviour, potty talk, and disgusting materialism (which I’m not against, I’m just against making something profound out of it)...the show is just awful, and reverse sexist to boot. Carrie, being the lead character, must take some of the brunt of this. I know chicks love it and find something meaningful out of it, but you're all as deluded in your quest to make something meaningful and important out of things that are either mundane, best left in private, or frankly objectionable. And I'm not even a prude! It's just that if this same basic approach were taken into a male context, the feminazi's would be up in arms about it, and pop culture theorists would blast it as superficial and crass (No, “Two and a Half Men” isn’t the equivalent. That’s the Charlie Sheen story- or was- not the story of every guy, and it was horribly uneven when Charlie was on it let alone now). But noooo. Carrie's speaking for all of us! She's so wise! Right. Uh-huh. No, she's just a skank who keeps a journal.

    2. Chloe, "24"- Mary Lynn Rajskub's Chloe rubbed me the wrong way for far too long. Her constant pouty face, her "Peanuts" character looks and voice, her character's irritating personality...There were terrorists on that show I wanted to die less horribly than Chloe. I'm not a violent man, but goddamn I hated Chloe with every fibre of my being. Her lack of social skills were borderline autistic at times, except that would be an insult to autistic people, whom in my limited exposure, I've found to be very likeable people. Maybe I just don't like people named Chloe...

    3. Maggie Grace's character on "Lost"- I've never forgiven Maggie Grace for playing one of the whiniest, most aggressively self-centred and selfish women on the face of the planet. I hated her every moment on screen. HATED. I don’t know if everything that went wrong on the island can be attributed to her directly, but a lot could be.

    4. Dr. Taylor Forrester, "The Bold and the Beautiful"- Oh. My. God. This hypocritical, often borderline psycho is actually meant to be a shrink, and yet she protects her family no matter how wrong they are behaving. How is that healthy? What is it teaching them? Accusing Brooke of molesting her grown-arse man of a son was the final straw for me (I had absolutely no problem with the storyline having involved poison berries, however). Being played by a shocking actress with the worst plastic surgery alterations I've seen outside of that cat lady doesn't help, either. Honestly, there's less contradiction in the professional and private behaviour of Dr. Hannibal Lecter than in this chick. Revolting woman. And yes I do watch the show. What's your point?

    5. Marge Simpson, "The Simpsons"- Hmm. I have a lot of women on this list. I’m not sexist or misogynist, I promise! My cartoon MILF fetishes aside (I said I’m not sexist, I never said I wasn’t a pervert!), I find Marge to be one of the most teeth-grindingly irritating of all TV mums. Nagging, completely humourless, with an almost pathetically empty life (or lack thereof, outside of being a taken-for-granted housewife), Marge is one of the least interesting and least sympathetic characters on the otherwise wonderful, unquestionably groundbreaking cartoon series (Lisa, by the way, nearly made the list too). Remember when Lisa catches her using one of the trite catch-phrases of her Malibu Stacy doll? It was funny, but also really, really sad, and that is but one example. She does have a fine bod for a middle aged woman, though. Mind you, since that show started in 1990, she should be well into her 60s by now (And how stupid are those kids that Bart is still in grade school when he should be 32 like me?)

    In no particular order...

Will Schuester (Glee) - Glee's worst-written character by far. A character tries to commit suicide and everyone is depressed? Will trivialises it by saying he tried to jump off a building for CHEATING ON A TEST. He's a Spanish teacher who can't speak Spanish, becomes a History teacher who sucks at history, yet wins Teacher Of The Year award. Are the other teachers all drug-addled psychos or something? To come back to a previous point, he trivialises everything. The students say he helps them with their problems, but I find him patronising. He can barely solve his own problems! And he obsesses far too much over the kids. I wouldn't be surprised if Emma left him over how much he obsesses over the Glee club. There's passion and then there's obsession. Oh, and did I mention he asked a student to be his best man? A student who "taught him everything he knows"? Terrible writing right there.

Upchuck (Daria) - Sometimes, these kind of characters can be endearing, but Upchuck makes my skin crawl. Props to the voice actor for that, but it just makes him very unlikeable and disturbing. It's a shame because I really liked most of the characters. Wow, that was a short paragraph compared to Will...

I'm bored of writing paragraphs now, so...Norris from Corrie, Emily from Friends, Blaine from Glee.

I'm too lazy to think of another four
