What does first year actually consist of?
Especially thinking of Mechanical/Aero, could someone post a (reasonably) comprehensive list of their course content in year 1, especially the maths units, all i'm getting off my uni website is the generic "Maths for engineers II" which isn't amazingly helpful.

The course is practically the same for everywhere in Europe, because of the accreditation (so they tell me).

Generally all engineers at a university will have the same first year, maybe the same second year, and then the third year is spent specialising in the particular area that you're after. That is, provided it's a vaguely similar type of engineering... So aero/mech will no doubt do the same degree up until Year 3.

I made a thread looking for books to get started with, and I posted a list of the modules that I'm expecting to do: Link here

Different universities might add some Year 2 units to Year 1 and vice versa, but the maths, electrical systems, materials and design all seem to be vital topics for the first year.
