Yeah it's right.. i really hope i don't cock this one up as well!
i screwed up the last question, damnit! hopefully they'll pity me and i'll get 1 mark or something :/ what are the predictions for grade boundaries?

I reckon it may be 35 for 90 UMS, 38 for 100 UMS. It wasn't as bad as the P3 so should be higher than that...

I'm sure that the answer to the first part of the question was 7.6kJ (efficiency question), but I don't think that's what you use for the next question, because that asked you how long the boiler would last, where you have to presume it is using all its power that is supplied to it (8kW), whether it is used efficiently or not.

P3 was horrible. it really made me doubt whether to take A-Level physics.

HAHA! LOL SAME HERE!! I was like I'm ******* for A levels if I don't get A* in Physics esp. as I want to do Eng. at uni.

I want to kill that boiler question I put 200. I looked at it over and over , the rest was simple though

Also what did people get for the UV reflection question? Sand or snow? and why?

It won't be 38marks for 100 ums I don't think, if anything it'll be 36. It wasn't that easy, there were some tricky questions

Anybody putting marks scheme up? I can't actually remember the questions haha

join the club. if only i thought to divide 200 by 8 and i wouldn't be so annoyed at myself.

Snow, I'm sure there was a question like this on a past paper ski put that, and funnily enough the next question was about skiing

36 for full UMS? what would you say would be the grade boundaries?

Snow. The higher the value in the table, the more was reflected by the ground into the eyes of the robot. Besides, white, dull surfaces reflect more light.

Yeah but wasn't the question asking: "Looking at this graph/results which is better" I put sand because there was less UV intensity found in the dummy so most would have been reflected... ?

They gave you the half life = 30 years.

    For 600 to 75: 600 - 300 - 150 - 75 <-- that's 3 half lives.

    30 x 3 = 90 years.

What did anyone put for the what happens to the wasted energy from the boiler one?
I put transferred to the surroundings, transformed into waste sound and light.

    What do you reckon?

It was snow, there were higher levels of UV detected because the snow reflects more back into the dummy's eyes. . . I think.
