Re: You haz iPhone?Yep! You always wonder why.(Original post by Kim-x)
I have an iPhone 4. I don't think people should have one unless they pay for it themselves; I saw a primary school kid on a train with a 3GS! Ridiculous.

Also, I LOL 'This was posted from The Student Room's iPhone/iPad App' Don't know why. Just shows a iPhone can do literally anything from standards we have now. -
Re: You haz iPhone?
Yes, I have the iPhone 4. It does a good job, but I bought it over the Samsung Galaxy S2 (biggest mistake I ever made
). When the contract runs out, I might just get a pay as you go phone and get an iPod or MP3 player for my music (preferably the iPod Classic, since 16gb on my phone is clearly not enough for my music, but I think 160gb might just about do it). Because to be honest, that's all I use it for

Re: You haz iPhone?
I got an iPhone (1st gen, second hand) 4 years ago because I needed a new phone for uni and a new mp3 player. I liked the look of the iPhone and it had the two functions in one device quite nicely so I went with it. They've stop supported the 1st gen for a while now but it still works for me, pleased with the purchase and how long it's lasted me.

Re: You haz iPhone?
My brother has had the 3GS for coming up to three years and it's still in perfect working condition. I got the 4S last October, and have been really pleased with it. I bought it because when it came out I'd just had a really good pay day and my contract was up, so one thing lead to another and I ended up getting the iPhone (which I'd always thought I'd never get due to the price and hype etc). I had a BB before and you could hardly get any apps on it. Although you CAN get more on android than BB, still a lot of my favourites are missing, and that's a shame. If the apps were made for android then they would be more of a contender.

Re: You haz iPhone?
I would only buy an iPhone/get an iPhone the year I need/want a new phone and a new music player.
The chances of that happening are similar to the chances of running out of shampoo and conditioner on the same day, ie slim to none.
I have an HTC, got it for Christmas. Could've had an iPhone if I'd wanted one, probably, but I decided I didn't need one because I have an iPod touch. -
Got a 32GB iPhone 4 almost a year and a half ago because I like being able to easily pair up with iTunes so I don't need another device to listen to music.
iPhones are great, really did impress me, but there are plenty of alternatives out there now, although because of iTunes I will probably stay put. I have noticed a slight dip in performance over the last few months, slower menus, crashes etc, but this may be just because of apps, me filling the memory to capacity, or maybe even age. Battery life is also a bit of a shock, I have to charge every night, even during the day sometimes if I'm using it more than usual, but I've grown used to that.
I do agree with your point though, everyone has an iPhone, if not a similar smartphone. -

Why would I need an iPhone?

Re: You haz iPhone?
I recently got an Iphone 4S for my 18th birthday and it's definitely the best thing ever, I can see now why so many people have them. I actually think it might have changed my life because I've become so much more sociable since I changed from my old nokia flip phone that I hated using haha.
I got my old sim card cut so I can use it with the Iphone and it's perfect for me because it's a £10 a month contract on virgin for 250 minutes, 2500 texts and 500MB Mobile Web
I reallllyyy recommend them if you're thinking about getting one!! -
Re: You haz iPhone? That's what I did, though I'm on the £20.43 BlackBerry tariff so when it comes up for renewal in December I'm going to try to negotiate it down £5 or so. I will have to convince them I'm still happy with a BlackBerry Curve 8520 after two years and I'd like to keep it for a further two though(Original post by wretchedthing)
