Biomedical science at keele 2012 - how much chemistry???
    Hi guys,

I am a current undergrad at keele studying human biology but i am thinking of changing to biomedical science. I want to do a course with which i can hopefully start working after graduation. Human biology has no definite career path. But the problem is i havent done chemistry at alevel. I have been told by the course leader that i can either restart from yr1 or take the foundation route. I want to know what the course content is like? Is there alot of chemistry involved?? I really love biology and am a very hard working and dedicated person. Dnt mean to brag but im also pretty clever got ABB in my alevels.

Is there anyone at keele hu is goin biomed without having done chemistry??? And if i do change wil i struggle with it??

Also why do people say to me its not a good degree to do? People are saying pharmacy is alot better and that i should do that instead?? Any opinions and advise is welcome

I got a 2:1 in Biomed from Keele 2 years ago. I'm sure they've got the course specifications up on their website but from what I remember we did 1 compulsory module in chemistry and there was another optional one. If you've got concerns, you could always talk to the module leader about it.

What do you want to get out of your degree? It's whatever you want to make of it and it's not stopped several of us getting into medicine/dentistry/ working...
