Applying for a job where I done work experience 4 years ago, should I remind them?
Hi

Basically I'm thinking about sending a speculative application to an office where I done work experience 4 years ago as I know they are busy over the summer (its for a travel agency) and I'd like some work while I'm home for summer. I done a 2 week placement there organised by my school and really enjoyed it and they seemed to be impressed with how I settled in and got on with the tasks at hand. When I left, the supervisor at the time had to write a letter of feedback to my teacher, and I got given it back and still have it here. I was wondering whether it would be worth photocopying it and sending it in my application to remind them how fond they were of me during my time there and boost my prospects of them offering me a job, or would that be a bit cheeky? :P
Thanks

You did work experience, you didn't done it. Had to get that off my chest

Moving on, I would certainly place the work experience prominently on your CV so that they see that you've worked there before. I'm not sure I'd go as far as sending in the letter unless they request a reference. Best bet might well be to try to get in contact with the person who wrote the letter and see if they can find you something through internal routes. -

.................
So long as you were good at the job then yes, remind them front and centre. It's not cheeky, that's what networking is!
