I thi k I might be reading too much into comments here. Sometimes the nice side of someone doesn't show up easily. I find it sad when people judge a whole group of people based on past experiences whether it be make, female or races so don't want to do that myself.
That girl was really rude and out of line with u. I'm shocked people can behave like that. Was she Asian? Did u know her? If feels in a weird way like she was being passive aggressive in a way to make u show interest. Strange though.

Yeah she was Asian and no I didn't know her. I don't think she liked me, because she seemed a bit up herself when she said it. There are people out there that just like saying stuff like that, to give themselves a bit of an ego boost

Thanks for all that have replied and it seems that the number one criticism is hair. Apparently I have dress sense Does any one know of any styles they prefer? The only thing is, when I've grew my hair a bit more, it's not suited me all that well

Yes the girls that you get by the truckload are probably not high quality if they choose you. The girls you go for are much below the level of the girl OP is going for so even if you had any useful advice, which you don't, it would be redundant.
