A-Level History Background Reading
Before I start, I'm not sure whether this is in the right Forum but hey-ho.
I'll be starting my OCR A-Level History in September and I would like to do a little background reading to gain a little context and knowledge about the subjects we'll be studying.
In my AS year I'll be looking at:
- Experience of Warfare through the Crimean, Boer and WWI wars.
- USA Civil Rights.
- USA Korean and Vietnam wars.
So my question is whether you have any recommendations for books that look at any of these subjects, thank you. -
Re: A-Level History Background ReadingI will be enjoying my summer very much, but spending a short time going over some stuff in preparation is time well spent. It's better than going hectic and having no leisure time whatsoever when nearing to exam time.(Original post by FloydRix)

no point in that
just enjjoy summer -
Re: A-Level History Background Reading
Hey, I'm starting History A Level in September too, although with AQA
I don't know any exact books that you could read, but I'm sure you can get revision guides from somewhere that could help you. Also, if you have a good look round bookshops/libaries/amazon you could find books on the topics. Even if the books aren't exactly to do with the specification, it's apparently helps to do extra reading on the subject anyway.
