Re: Whats the cheapest way of getting the new macbook pro? (retina display)
Cheapest legal way is through being a student.
Since it's the flagship model it will start from £1799. take away 15% off the price for being a student and you are a proud owner of one a Macbook Pro with retina display. Take off any apple gift cards you may have etc. -
Re: Whats the cheapest way of getting the new macbook pro? (retina display)
Student price for the Retina base model is £1528.80. Use Quidco to get a further 4% cashback which is roughly £60 further discount, making the laptop just under £1500. Pretty good price considering how amazing it looks/performs. I ordered mine last Sunday and am patiently waiting for it to be delivered sometime in mid July.
You also get a free £70 app store gift card.

Re: Whats the cheapest way of getting the new macbook pro? (retina display)Can I get the 20% back and get the student discount and do quidco and sell the itunes gift card?(Original post by Brookzy)
If you have a relative who runs a business ask them to buy it for you and then pay them back - businesses can claim the 20% VAT back. -

Re: Whats the cheapest way of getting the new macbook pro? (retina display)
I've got a better question, why the **** do you want an overpriced piece of **** which you pay a huge sum of money for the logo, simply to (most probably) use as a Facebook machine? 220 PPI screen is nothing amazing. "Retina" is just a marketing gimmick term to reel in morons.
