UNITE and first rent payment
Good morning,
I would like to see if anyone has my same problem and how you solved. I booked a room for next september at Emily Bowes Court. In september I will have to pay my first instalment by credit card. Since I'm a foreign student I must pay by 2 instalments. The problem is that my credit card doesn't allow such a big payment all in one time. What can I do? I mean can I pay online like 1.000 £ every month as long as it's all paid before the first instalment is due?
Will the payment schedule be reduced according to the sum I already have paid online on the website?
I'm Italian and I don't have a UK bank account.Last edited by andrespi; 20-06-2012 at 17:14. -
Re: UNITE and first rent paymentDo you have to pay by credit card? What about bank transfer or cheque? Also, it may be worth setting up a UK bank account if you are going to be living here as a student long term.(Original post by andrespi)

Re: UNITE and first rent paymentYeah, if they accepted bank transfer it would be perfect, there would be no problem. The problem is that they accept only debit/credit card (or at least they said so on the phone).(Original post by F1 fanatic)

I will try to go to the bank in the next few days and see if they can issue a credit card which allows bigger payments.
I thought that on this forum maybe some other foreign student booked with unite and found a way to solve this problem.
I will open a UK bank account when I will be in UK next september, but now I'm in Italy, I can't open a UK bank account from here.Last edited by andrespi; 20-06-2012 at 22:54.
