Re: Did anyone else get an audition for the 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony? (Part 2)Part of me is nervous about having an audience but when i was on the steps during the POA the other night, there was a couple of groups of people on the upper tier facing us who were dancing, waving and joining in with us and it just energised everyone on the stairs below and we giving it everything coz we were getting some feedback from the "audience". Suddenly our role started to make sense(Original post by Flakeydom)
Oh good - that's what I thought SB said too but then the tickets given out make no sense. I know a few people in the West side on Monday night.
We'll find out tomorrow! -

Re: Did anyone else get an audition for the 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony? (Part 2)
Was so determined to have the chance to see the other segments that group of us rebellious 44ers hared it right up to the top of the stadium after our bit and watched the 47ers again - what a transformation with the llghts- it was absolutely fabulous and SO much better than last Saturday when we last saw it. Well done- you must be so happy with it now. And so thrilled to FINALLY see 49ers - although we had to plead really hard with a couple of 'red coats' to let us stay. Loved yours too and much of the music brought back memories for this oldie!! Does seem a bit unfair that everyone from Games Makers, LOCOG, Olympic Closing and Paralympic performers get to see the DR and we were not allowed to watch the other segments. Pity there is not a public DR for the Closing for us to see! So thrilled to have seen it! But then after the long trek to Eton Manor and back we caught the last Jubilee by the skin of our teeth and then had to call out hubby the other end at some unearthly hour... worth it though!

Re: Did anyone else get an audition for the 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony? (Part 2)
SB did say at our 'chat' that one side would have an audience tomorrow the other Wednesday. I think he was making this clear to us so that when one side doesn’t get an audience tomorrow those 'few' in our group didn’t start bombarding our CC guys with emails again.
By what I’ve seen elsewhere I think games markers other volunteers etc got Monday’s tickets & cast is Wednesday. On FB swops were going for wednesday upper tiers 250-224 that I saw & mine is lower so both tier levels filled, so it could be a lot of people.
I’m kind of nervous having performed to empty seats for so long & now I could have live people tomorrow yikes! -
Re: Did anyone else get an audition for the 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony? (Part 2)I wonder if that was our 'naughty ' group - we were joining in with a 41er waving those red things etc. etc.! and we were in the upper tier....(Original post by irishfinn)

Re: Did anyone else get an audition for the 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony? (Part 2)
I’ve just seen this little snippet (just 17 seconds) ‘Let the show begin’ from the official london2012 site... there is a flash of a BMX bike wheel obviously this was done before removed. Drummers en mass get a few more seconds & a lot of faces, cast TIM on mass as well…alas no 41ers in it…most people are in bibs
I’ve played it about 20 times
Something I can send my family to tease them for it

Re: Did anyone else get an audition for the 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony? (Part 2)Apparently they have received emails today saying tickets still available ...(Original post by Zassy003)
Just read that tickets for tomorrow were also given to residents from neighboring boroughs -

Re: Did anyone else get an audition for the 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony? (Part 2)
Hi everyone. Like the rest of the cast and crew I was given 2 tix but am having a huge dilemma. I have 3 children (17, 15 and 12 yo) and they all want to come to the DR on Wed 25th. How can I tell one of them that he/she is not coming while the others are? Will he/she ever forgive me? I have asked around, joined all the OOC groups, waited at the tix distribution desk for 3 nights (Wed, Fri, Sat last week) till 11 pm and asked every member of cast but couldn't find one ticket. I am willing to buy a present for the person who would give me 1 ticket. Can anyone help please?

Re: Did anyone else get an audition for the 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony? (Part 2)Would have been great if those of us doing both ceremonies got 3 and those doing 4 got 6!!!! Now that would have been fair!!!!(Original post by Essex Girl)
Many people in same situation alas with families. Appeals posted all over our holding area on Sat too!

Re: Did anyone else get an audition for the 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony? (Part 2)
I had a "moment" on Saturday. I was coming through St Pancras and naturally went to the Olympic shop. As I was buying my stuff I burst in to tears. I've been going to that shop ever since it opened and that was the last time I'd be there with the Olympics in the future. The emotion got to me and the staff didn't know what the heck to do with me!
Started packing yesterday and realised I have 38 Olympic/gymnasticcy T-shirts. I'm only in London for 18 days so had to make some decisions.
It's all so close, so hard to concentrate at work atm. -
Re: Did anyone else get an audition for the 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony? (Part 2)Thank you! I played it several times and finally spotted myself in amongst the blue bibs.(Original post by Zassy003)
