basically i bought this hp pavillio g6 in february and the only game i play is the sims 3 with one expansion pack. i can start a new game, like a new family, and then play for a while but eventually after gettin quite far in the game the laptop screen goes black, then goes back to the game, then goes black, back to the game etc a few times until the laptop shuts down and shows me a bright blue screen with writing on it say something about shuttin down before further damage is done blabla

any ideas on how to fix it? ive had to start several sims games now just to be able to play it, so cant really get far in each game which is very frustrating!

Sounds like a possible overheating issue - buy a cooling pad. I have that one and it keeps the laptop very cool.
