Have I to include those experience in my CV?
Hi,I have a questions about what to include in my CV.

First thing to say: As far as i know,I have to include everything in a CV for not leaving any gap periods.I have finished high school in Italy a Year ago(I reckon it's the same of english A levels),then I've occasionally worked as a waiter during the summer
then I've worked for 4 months as a sort of "sales operator" for a electricity-provider company
and lastly, from March to July 2012 I have worked(I'm still working there actually xD)as a waiter for a restaurant.

The thing is: The only valuable experience, the one that gives me all the skills I've written in my CV,is the last one so that I've organized my CV like this:

    FIRST PAGE:
    -personal info(name,address etc...)
    -Personal Profile(5/6 lines)
-Skills Gained (5/6 bullet point and in which one I explain the skill with some basic examples or similar)
    -Languages known(2 lines)

    SECOND PAGE:
-Work Experience(name of the restaurant, brief explanation and bullet-points in which I wrote my duties)
    -Education (just my italian diploma)
    -Hobbies&Interests

And I've thought to talk about the other work experiences, that are irrelevant to me,in the cover letter..so that the recruiter doesn't think that I'm a slouch who hasn't done anything 8 months after finished school!

Do you think it'll be alright?
Or do you reckon that I have to include all my 3 work experiences?
And if yes,how to include them and fit them in the CV?

Personally I would still mention previous jobs on the cv even if its just a quick round up.

Something like "As well as .... I have also work as .... and ... which gave me experience of working in different environmentals and allowed me to work with a variety of people. I adapted well to each new job and was able to learn new skill sets easily for each such as...."

Obviously thats pretty poor but I think you'll get the idea. No matter who your applying for use previous jobs to emphasis teamwork and adaptability etc. Even if these jobs arent remotely related to what your looking for having a complete job history will look better.

Hope that helps. Good luck job hunting

So you think I have to include all my experience, but writing less stuff on the two less valuable experience and focus on the skills gained from the other(the more valuable)work experience?

    thank you

You don't have to include all your experience. A CV is about the relevant experience you have, not all of it. There's a CV Help forum on here where you can upload your CV and get more specific advice.

I'm going to post my CV to the CV help forum when it's finished,I'm preparing it now...

The only issue is that,if I do not include all my (brief)experiences...I think that the recruiter will think that I have done anything in the 8-months after school! but,on the other hand, they are unnecessary experience if I have to talk about my skills..

The only issue would be to let all the information fit in the 2-pages-layout CV.

So do you think I have to do like:
WORK EXPERIENCE SECTION OF MY CV(almost an entire page space)
    1)
    Della serie:
    WORK EXPERIENCE:

    Waiter
    Restaurant Pippo
    01/03/2012-25/07/2012
Well-known restaurant bla bla bla...bla bla bla

    Duties:
    -bla1
    -bla2
    -bla3
    -bla4
    -bla5

    and then

I have also worked as sales operator.... and occasionally waiter during summer 2011... which gave me experience of working in different environmentals and allowed me to work with a variety of people. I adapted wellbla bla bla and was able to learn new skill bla bla bla...

    OR
**talking about my other experiences write like
    2)
    Sales Operator
    ESTRA Energie
    01/10/2011-27/02/2012
I've gained such skills as...(just two lines in which I describe different skills than the other mentioned before) and don't write the "duties" to shorten?

I'd go for the 1,because it uses only the essentials about my less valuable jobs, but I'm not really sure it'd be a right CV format

I would also go with the first one. Focus on the main jobs that you think are relevant or give you more experience- give specific details, tasks and responsibilties but mention others to show there wasnt a gap. For the less relevant just give basics and and quick round up to save space. If theyre similar just group stuff like.. "I also work at job A and Job B. Both positions gave me experience in working closely with the public, included cash handling skills and keeping high food and surface hygiene standards. At Job B I also gain managment experience/ learn to .../ was a key holder etc. " (obviously just example)

As someone else has said you dont need to have everything. Some people omit jobs or periods of study and if you are applying to specific jobs you can always taylor your cv to it by emaphising certain parts. But if you do have noticable spaces, employers are likly to ask what you did. If its 8 months right after school thats not that bad its not like a two year blank but if you want to keep everything in I would do it as above.

    Hope that helps you out
