Hi everyone,

I'm new here and I just wondered... I've got a job with Next, my induction is on the 25th but I'm leaving on the 26th for 6 days to see my Granny who is ill in the south of France... Do you think it will be ok for Next?

How long after your induction did you do your first shift?

Sometimes you can start your first shift as soon as a few days after your induction, depending on what your contract will be. If I were you I'd ring up the store and let them know before your induction

Next are absolute idiots when it comes to holidays. Did you let them know at interview? If so you'll definitely be fine.

Also the sale period in which no holiday is allowed starts on the 8th, but you should be back by then?

They might be a bit funny about it at first but you should be fine as you haven't signed your contract yet.

Thanks for your answers! I'll be back on the 1st of july... I'm gonna go in today to give my bank details and tell them for the holidays as they didn't ask me for my interview...
